Project Title: Assessment of mosquito biting reduction and mortality rates caused by eave-ribbons treated with different formulations of transfluthrin inside the semi-field system

Project Description: This study will assess the efficacy of eave ribbons treated with different formulations and concentrations of transfluthrin for protection against indoor and outdoor-biting malaria mosquitoes as well as mortality and survival rates of mosquitoes exposed to these different formulations of transfluthrin. It will also assess the safe use for the residents living in the houses being protected by taking air samples in the experimental huts and exposure risk assessments of the operator when performing spray... This study will assess the efficacy of eave ribbons treated with different formulations and concentrations of transfluthrin for protection against indoor and outdoor-biting malaria mosquitoes as well as mortality and survival rates of mosquitoes exposed to these different formulations of transfluthrin. It will also assess the safe use for the residents living in the houses being protected by taking air samples in the experimental huts and exposure risk assessments of the operator when performing spray treatment by measuring transfluthrin concentration at the breathing zone of spraying personnel.
